Charlotte Houette’s paintings capture the gaze and lead it into a perceptual vortex, in which pictorial and geometric gesturality intermingles with constructed mobile elements at the structural level of the painting. In 2016, she co-founded the experimental school The Cheapest University, within which she created, with Clara Pacotte, the EEAPES journal, dedicated to the collective translation of feminist science-fiction writing. She is represented by High Art Gallery.
