Nominated for the Pernod Ricard Foundation Prize, « OFFSHORE », curated by Jean-Max Colard in 2005, Olivier Babin ended his career as an artist in 2011 to open the C L E A R I N G gallery in the Bushwick neighborhood of New York.
C L E A R I N G is a contemporary art gallery based in New York and Brussels. The gallery was founded in 2011 with the goal of showing the emerging art scene. It currently represents artists Harold Ancart, Jean-Marie Appriou, Korakrit Arunanondchai, Meriem Bennani, Huma Bhabha, Sebastian Black, Koenraad Dedobbeleer, Daniel Dewar & Gregory Gicquel, Ryan Foerster, Aaron Garber-Maikovska, Bruno Gironcoli, Hugh Hayden, René Heyvaert, Marguerite Humeau, Zak Kitnick, Calvin Marcus, Eduardo Paolozzi, Marina Pinsky, Loïc Raguénès and Lili Reynaud-Dewar. C L E A R I N G supports its artists by producing works, exhibitions and books and by working closely with private and public institutions.
