French premiere of « If I were Winter itself » by Jazmín López who will be interviewed by Philippe Azoury, journalist and film critic.

« Si yo fuera el invierno mismo » (If I were Winter itself) recreates scenes from three films that embodied the social and artistic revolution of the 60s and 70s: « La Chinoise » (1967) by Jean-Luc Godard, « Inextinguishable Fire » (1969) by Harun Farocki and « Untitled (Facial Hair Transplants) » (1972) by Ana Mendieta.
Jazmín López is a director, screenwriter and actress of French-Argentine origin. She has a degree in directing from the Universidad del Cine de Buenos Aires and a master’s degree in Studio Art from New York University. Jazmín López made three short films as a director and screenwriter, before her feature film, Leones (2012), selected for the Orizzonti competition in Venice. Also a visual artist, her work has been exhibited in several institutions such as MoMA, Lincoln Center and the Centre Georges Pompidou.
A journalist and film critic, Philippe Azoury was a contributor to Cahiers du cinéma from 1998 to 2008, and a journalist for Inrockuptibles, Vogue Paris and Libération. Azoury has published several monographs and books of interviews, such as Fantomas, co-authored with Jean-Marc Lalanne. He is a screenwriter and teacher at the ECAL, Lausanne.
