Poésie Plate-forme Claire Finch and Louise Siffert
Poésie Plateforme organizes, under the supervision of Jérôme Mauche, singular tête à tête between an artist and a personality from other fields of thought.
The Pernod Ricard Foundation welcomes Claire Finch, poet, and Louise Siffert, artist, as part of the « Poetry Platform » cycle. Both develop objects working on alternative forms of representation and meaning.
Queerization, feminism and humor open up hybrid and closed spaces between languages and languages. How to explore differently the body and the collective? How to maintain dissidence and constitute new worlds? Claire Finch and Louise Siffert are working on this.
Claire Finch is an author and researcher. Her ficto-theoretical work interacts gender studies and radical narratives in narratives exemplifying queer stars. With Justin Gajoux, she has published Kathy Acker 1971-1979, Ismael, 2019; Chapter 15 I Lie On The Floor, After 8 Books, 2021. Ielle contributed to the volume Lettres aux jeunes poétesses, L’Arche, 2021. Her texts are published in numerous academic journals and literary and artistic media. With Sabrina Soyer, she translated Debbie: une épopée by Lisa Robertson, Joca Seria, 2021. Alone or with others, as with the RER Q collective of which she is a member, she gives readings, conferences and performances, hybridizing knowledge and practices, in France and abroad.
Hijacking the codes of contemporary alienation, of management forms as well as of the search for well-being, Louise Siffert’s projects and performances privilege a theater with a sculptural dimension, burlesque and corrosive, nourished by social sciences. They have inspired her, among other things, a musical Gut Feelings (2020-2021), a film conceived for her solo exhibition at the BBB Centre d’Art, and of which an augmented vinyl version-Gut Feelings-Melodies and Aromas (2021) was produced as part of the call for projects « La Vie bonne » supported by Aware and the CNAP, edited by *DUU Radio. Her work in recent years has been presented in many places at the Panacée in Montpellier, the Synagogue de Delme, the Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, L’Atelier de Paris-Carolyn Carlson, the Palais de Tokyo, the BBB in Toulouse, the Capc-Bordeaux … She is a member of DOC, an artist-run space in Paris.
