Chrétiens d’Orient, un imaginaire originel

Wednesday 7 January 2015 at 7 pm

Michel Maffesoli has invited Jean-François Colosimo, theologian.

At a time when the media are talking about the possible end of Christians in the East, Jean-Francois Colisimo explains how, over and above the humanitarian cause, this tragedy represents a catastrophe for civilization.

A symbolic world is vanishing with them, borne along by a cosmic sense of liturgy, a negative approach to theology, and a sacred conception of the icon.

There is an essential imaginary factor, at once close and different, which lies above all at the root of our imaginary, which has to be discovered. Another way of re-reading our heritage.
