Le médium extraterrestre
Conferences directed by Jérôme Mauche.
The starting point to this new edition of Poetry Platform is the extra-terrestrial experience as an experience of limits, of ends and far reaches, from the thought of other worlds to the recognition of fictions. Beyond theses on UFOs, on the existence or not of other forms of life in space, the alien is primarily a medium, an axiom for reflection, history and daydreaming liable to link together and reformulate fiction and diction.
Poetry Platform is the occasion of an encounter between philosopher and musicologist Peter Szendy and writer-performer Dominiq Jenvrey.
BIOGRAPHIES
Dominiq JENVREY
The literary work of writer Dominiq Jenvrey has as its fictional object « the total experience » which an encounter with extraterrestrials would represent for literary language. He is the author of several books focusing on this hypothesis: L’Exp. Tot. (Ere, 2006); L’E.T., Fiction concrète (Seuil, 2008); Théorie du fictionnaire (Questions théoriques, 2011). His approach also takes the form of fictional lectures.

Des corps musiciens (Éditions de Minuit, 2002); Prophecies of Leviathan. Reading Past Melville (Fordham U.P., 2010); Sur écoute. Esthétiques de l’espionnage(Éditions de Minuit, 2007); Hits. Philosophy in the Jukebox (Fordham U.P., 2012); Kant chez les extraterrestres. Philosofictions cosmopolitiques(Éditions de Minuit, 2011).
