Théo Levillain

Théo Levillain is an artist who creates sound sculptures. Théo Levillain takes care of and repairs neglected, found, donated and broken synthesizers with gestures of care and repair, while accepting their obsolescence. He then invests them to create new sounds. In the complicity he develops, he also acknowledges the alien nature of these objects, with their technical malfunctions that he cannot control. A sound partititon remains to be established, however, in order to tune these objects together. Théo Levillain evokes the aesthetics of "electronic bricolage", which he borrows from the "circuit bending" movement.

Theo Levillain graduates from ESACM in June 2023 with honors in experimentation.
