Le Réalisme (Realism) with Pauline Ghersi & Liv Schulman

2024-2025

After Julie Bena and Flora Bouteille, who have respectively explored the language prior to performative production and experimented with audience engagement in collaborative productions, it is now Pauline Ghersi and Liv Schulman who will guide us. The former is a video maker and her latest project, the memorable Gros Problème [Big Problem] (2023), pokes fun at clichés of the art world and artists’ work and provides an overview of all of the subjects that concern young artists. The latter, a laureate of the Ricard Prize in 2018, has explored economics and politics for several years now in a burlesque form, through object installations and films.

CANNIBALES with Flora Bouteille

2023-2024

CANNIBALES is the first creation by Angels' Front, a performance group founded by artist and director Flora Bouteille. CANNIBALES is conceived as a constantly evolving performance device, shaped by performances and interactions with audiences. The project explores the dynamics of cannibalistic predation in capitalist society, the role of cameras, and the redefinition of the contemporary subject. The performance also explores ethical issues related to audience participation, integrating technical tools (cameras, smartphones, microphones) into a dialogue between audience and performers.

CANNIBALES with Flora Bouteille

2022-2023

"Mots Troubles" [Troubled Words] is a program of meetings around the text in its oral dimension. It is certain that one can read aloud the desired texts, nevertheless some have a nicer ring to it than others. Some, from the start, were written to be spoken by authors such as a playwright or a lyricist, for others, like the novelist, this orality is surely less obvious. For my part, I always write my texts by hearing and saying them, and I wonder if it is the same for our guests? What is the role of the ear, what is the desire of the voice, what do we want from those who listen?
