“Professional Dreams” is a workshop organized at the Pernod Ricard Foundation, led by the La Vie Gagnée collective. The workshop invites participants to reflect collectively on issues related to economic precariousness power relations and negotiations in the art world. It is open to all art students, artists and art professionals wishing to reflect on the social and economic stakes of their work.

How much will I get paid? When will I get paid? What does my boss look like? Can you negotiate when you're an artist? Based on real-life stories, we'll collectively imagine “Professional Dreams”, scenarios in which we'll look at the balance of power in interviews and negotiations in the art world, and train together to deal with it.

La vie gagnée is an organization of art workers created in June 2021. Its aim is to organize and disseminate collective reflections on oppressions in art circles, the power relations at work in these circles, and economic precariousness. These reflections take the form of publications, events, workshops...
