Elsa Vettier

Elsa Vettier is an independent exhibition curator and art critic. Since working for Nuit Blanche in 2017, then the Ateliers de Rennes – biennale d’art contemporain in 2018, she has devised many curatorial and editorial projects in association with artists, exhibition venues and art schools. Among the most recent, we can cite: Saint-Pierre-des-corps, a book co-authored with Jean-Charles de Quillacq (ed. Sombres Torrents, 2020); LL Drops, a series designed for *DUUU radio (2020) and exhibitions: Career Girls (in collaboration with Margaux Bonopera, Mécènes du Sud, Montpellier, 2022), Ascendant Idéal (40 ans du Frac ! Gunaikeîon, Frac Île-de-France, les Réserves & Fondation Fiminco, Romainville, 2023) or rain real soon, an exhibition by Mira Mann (Shmorévaz, Paris, 2024).

In 2022, as a curator in conjunction with the Maison Populaire de Montreuil, she presented a cycle of exhibitions and events entitled The Artificial Kid. She regularly writes for artists, exhibition catalogues, magazines and is currently developing a research project entitled Le chat à neuf queues [The Cat with Nine Tails], supported by the CNAP grant for research on art theory and criticism.
