Marouane Bakhti

Marouane Bakhti is a writer, social journalist and critic for the cultural magazine Mouvement. He studied design at La Martinière-Diderot in Lyon and history at the Sorbonne. He published his first novel Comment sortir du monde in March 2023 with Nouvelles Éditions du Réveil. The book was translated into English by Divided in September 2024 and will be published in German by MÄRZ in 2025. Marouane Bakhti has collaborated with the Centre Pompidou, the Festival Actoral and the Kadist art center. He also writes fiction for exhibitions. He has worked with Galerie Derouillon and Galerie Exo Exo in Paris and Galerie Stems in Brussels. He has been invited to take up a short residency at the Villa Médicis in August 2024. He will be resident at the fluent art center in Santander (Spain) in February 2025 and at Villa Glovettes in autumn 2025.
