La Traverse 9
La Traverse – The Journal of Fondation Pernod Ricard
La Traverse is published every six months as a way to put the Fondation’s activities into words and extend them through its various sections. Its layout, designed by Studio Des Signes, directly references the architectural structure of the Fondation and its spaces: a cover featuring a frontal artwork, much like the mural in the entrance; two large open sections dedicated to the exhibitions featured in the issue; a space for books; a space for Café Mirette, including its original recipe; a dedicated section for the Aperto project space; a "Transversale" section covering La Traverse's broader program; and always a nod to the virtual space of TextWork, either through international voices or a double-page artwork in the central poster.
Since the Fondation opened its doors on Cours Paul Ricard, La Traverse has been one of its key tools for engaging the public with all aspects of its programming. It also serves as a dedicated space for off-program invitations, publishing contributions and articles that explore pressing questions in and about art, featuring strong and distinctive voices.
