This Poetry Platform proposes an encounter between the historian and writer Philippe Artières and the poet and theoretician Christophe Hanna, who, somewhere between present time archives and historical documents explore how certain writings and forms of know-how function, with a concern for reconfiguring and understanding forms.
Philippe Artières is a historian and director of research at the CNRS, seconded to the Institut interdisciplinaire d’anthropologie du contemporain at the EHESS. As president of the Centre Michel-Foucault, he is involved in a series of multi-facetted research focusing on, inter alia, oordinary writings and protest writings.
After his scientific and literary studies (and after stopping competitive judo at the age of about 30 to devote himself to studying the piano, above all), Christophe Hanna has been developing a poetic and theoretical work very close to today’s literary materials. Some of his activities are carried on within the La Rédaction group which, as required, provides survey reports about “uncovered realities”.
