Fake or mirages of postmodern worlds

Tuesday 11 March 2014 at 7 pm

Michel Maffesoli plays host to Jean-Pierre Luminet, astrophysicist, director of research at the CNRS/Observatoire de Paris, Michaël Dandrieux and Vincenzo Susca, editors of the Cahiers européens de l’imaginaire  for the presentation of No. 6 of the Cahiers européens de l’imaginaire, devoted to the Fake.

Fake, truth in all its variations, here is a new exploration : that of an enchanted reality, more real than reality, that of the world of zombies and super-heroes, astronomical mirages and scientific falsifications, conspiracies and the cruelty of transparency.

Jean-Pierre Luminet will induct us into the world of astronomical mirages , the world of a veiled reality, veiled not only by our limited faculty of perception, but also by the very nature of the world.  Observers of things scientific thus link up with the epistemologist, tracing a new aletheilogical constellation.
