During the FIAC 2013 the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard increases its support to the young French art scene
The CINEPHEMERE of the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard
For
the fourth time, the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard present, in
collaboration with the Fiac and the Musée du Louvre, a selection of
artist films in a container, the Cinéphémère, transformed in a genuine
movie theatre of 14 seats.
The Fondation thus gives the galleries the opportunity to show artists’ short films in a dedicated space during the art fair.
The films will be selected by a committee composed by Jennifer Flay, Fiac director and Colette Barbier, director of the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard.
About 40 films will be screened in the Cinéphémère every day during Fiac.

YCI PROGRAM 2013 (YOUNG CURATORS INVITATIONAL)
FIAC,
the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard and the Institut Français launch
their 8th edition of the YCI program (Young Curators Invitational).
YCI
brings together in Paris for the FIAC a group of seven promising
personalities from the up-and-coming generation of intellectuals,
critics and exhibition curators.
The YCI participants, selected by an
international committee are invited by FIAC, the Fondation d’entreprise
Ricard ant the Institut Français to take part in a five day meetings
with the Paris art scene.
The participants to the YCI program 2013 will be selected from proposals by:
– Zoe Gray, curator in Bruxelles and Rotterdam Vice-president of l’IKT,
– Lorenzo Benedetti, director of Centre d’art De Vleeshal, Middelburg, Netherlands
– Chris Fitzpatrick, director of Objectif Exhibitions, Anvers, Belgium.
FIAC,
the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard and the Institut Français wish to
support the professional progress of the YCI program participants by
giving them the opportunity to discover a vibrant and thriving art scene
in privileged conditions and meet leading figures of the art world,
gathered especially for the fair.
The YCI 2013 participants are:
– Maaike Lauwaert (Belgian, based in the Hague, Netherlands)
– Christiane Rekade (Swiss, based in Berlin, Germany)
– Margit Säde Lehni (Estonian, based in Tallinn, Estonia and in Zürich, Switzerland)
– Miriam Kathrein (Austrian, based in Vienna, Austria)
– Amira Gad (Anglo French, based in Rotterdam, Netherlands)
– Latitudes curators: Max Andrews (English) and Mariana Cánepa Luna (Uruguayan), both of them are based in Barcelona, Spain.
The 2013 Fiac i-phone application
The
Fondation d’entreprise Ricard supports the development of the Fiac’s
i-phone application. The app helps visitors find their way through the
fair, keep up to date with the events of the Fondation Ricard
(exhibition of the 14th Prize Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, Bal Jaune),
and find out about the lively Parisian art scene during the FIAC.
