BIOGRAPHIES
Alex CECCHETTI
Born in 1977 in Italy. Lives and works in Paris.
Alex Cecchetti’s work is polymorphous by a self-expression through video, installations, texts and performances. After an exhibition in the Palais de Tokyo in Paris in 2007, he reflects on the construction of short and long stories through a research in literature, the very same matter of his work. For the performance programmed in the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, Cavaler, cavaler, cavaler, he improvises a new narration by reading successively passages from literature, philosophy and scientific novels…. Without writing a word, he manages to recreate new epics.
Jean-Baptiste BERNADET
Born in 1978 in Paris. Lives and works in Bruxelles.
As a painter, Jean-Baptiste Bernadet, has first explored the abstract before introducing, in 2004, his first words in painting with I’ve lost my Illusions. By pulling out of need’s conscience, energy and creativity, his canvas shows the majors ideas of his work.
Jean-Baptiste Bernadet’s writing is generally instantaneous, same as his painting- cross outs, colours, garish colours, all voluntarily decentred compositions or again recycled abandoned pieces appearing in filigree. Homonyms, tautologies, oxymoras are often used by Bernadet oscillating between confidence, drama and a line from a B movie. His work proposes with poetry, a disillusioned deconstruction of the banal language and its circulation.
