On the occasion of her solo show Der Sonnensticht, Katinka Bock invites Lisa Robertson to read a selection of poems in the middle of her works. Known for her experimental conception of poetic form, her interest in the visual arts and her feminist commitment, the Canadian poet and writer will read poems from her latest book, Boat (2022, Coach House Books).
Canadian poet, novelist and art writer Lisa Robertson began her career in the 1990s in Vancouver; since then 12 books have been published in English. Anemones: A Simone Weil Project (If I Can't Dance, Amsterdam) The Baudelaire Fractal (Coach House Books, Toronto) and Boat (Coach House Books) are the most recent. Several titles have appeared also in French— Debbie: une epopée (Joca Seria) was translated by Claire Finch and sabrina soyer, Le temps (Éditions Nous) by Eric Suchère, and Cinéma du présent (Théatre Typographique) by Pascal Poyet. She lives in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region.
