German-based artist Michael Riedel has been confusing audiences for years now, drawing them into a world of echoes, afterimages, and replicas in which nothing is straightforward. » – Daniel Birnbaum in Artforum

In a presentation titled, « The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog », Michael Riedel talks about his publications (1997-2009) on the occasion of his new release Meckert (Koenig Books, London). Using numerous pictures and sound recordings, (Shitting and pissing, 2000; Oskar, 2003; Johnson-Robert, 2004; Neo, 2005; Tirala, 2006; Printed and Unprinted Posters, 2008; amongst others), which are published as independent works parallel to his exhibitions.

His work is part of the actual show « Miroirs Noirs » at the Ricard Foundation and this evening his latest CMYK edition will presented together with Zéro deux.
