Mondes Nouveaux #7 / Archeology of a Retro-Future
Mondes Nouveaux at the Fondation Pernod Ricard is seven original evenings of artists questioning and anticipating the worlds to come, organized by Caroline Naphegyi, with the complicity of Bernard Blistène, Lucie Campos Mitchell, Ronan de Calan, Noé Soulier and Julien Creuzet. A program of the Ministry of Culture.
We are invited to enter the lair or stumble upon snippets of a “polyphonic and cavernous” conversation between a philosopher and an architect, in which the future of the world is whispered, in another temporality. The holocosmos-graphic avatars developed with the collaboration of Chris Delaporte invoke cerebral pareidolic glitches. Invisible live doodles by Mika Tamori are revealed intermittently, like spasms of an “archaeological retro-future that sees us debating amid the mess of the hereand-now. Species have mutated, including humans, at once vulnerable, technoid, and plant-like; we are ourselves a Darwinian chrysalid and chimera.”
