Their worlds and works are striking for their inventiveness, their ambitiousness, and their luxurious sense of beauty. Those two contemporary masterpieces, the novel Arcadia and the film The Wild Boys, have something of an elective affinity between them. They share the same intensity in their adventure and education stories, they both search for a collective utopia, and both consider gender fluidity. Emmanuelle Bayamack-Tam is one of the most talented novelists of her generation. He also conducts many experiments combining the literary, experimental and musical worlds. He creates hybrid cinematic genres while exploring his dream universe. His films have won prizes at the most prestigious film festivals.
