Soirée Contemporaine de Nîmes à la Fondation Pernod Ricard

Wednesday 15 May 2024 at 7 pm

Screening and panel discussion with June Balthazard, Aïda Bruyère, Rayane Mcirdi, Valentin Noujaïm, Anna Labouze & Keimis Henni

At the auditorium of the Fondation

The Fondation Pernod Ricard presents an evening dedicated to La Contemporaine de Nîmes, which it supports as a partner, and whose first edition is presented until June 23. Entitled "Une nouvelle jeunesse", the theme is youth and intergenerational transmission. This evening will be an opportunity to look back at the genesis of this new triennial and the creation of some of its flagship projects, in the presence of four artists and the artistic directors.

A community of children who protect a forest by living in the trees, a family summer trip to Algeria in the late 1980s, a teenage Roman emperor erased from history, and the world after as imagined by secondary school students from Seine-Saint-Denis will be at the heart of this evening, which combines a round-table discussion and screenings of video works currently on show in Nîmes.
