The Ecole des Arts Décoratifs de Paris is launching the DECOR Evenings
A joyful cabaret combining performance, cinema, posters, conferences, fashion shows, music, etc.. An original way to revisit the traditional art school « review » by producing it before putting it down on paper.
« The Music Hall is today the melting pot where the elements of a new sensitivity are swirling.” Despite its 106 years of age, Marinetti’s phrase has lost none of its relevance: because the music hall, as the father of Futurism writes, has « no traditions, no masters, no dogmas, and feeds on current events. » It is ironic, participatory and inclusive: a kind of total work of art that gives new impulses to life.
For two hours and four times a year, these evenings will feature a joyful primer on contemporary scene. Accompanied by personalities from the art world, the young talents of the School will showcase their creativity in the fields of tattoo, ceramics or clairvoyance as well as their critical vision of ephemeral architecture and interface design.
