Technology and Relations

Thursday 5 April 2012 at 7 pm

This may seem paradoxical -in fact, it is paradoxical, and therefore fruitful: technological development in its various forms is the cause and effect of an intense activity of communication. As Stéphane Hugon’s several books show, the same goes with « the digital era » evoked by Thomas Jamet. Imagination and myths, showing unsuspected strength, force us to think through a complex world that cannot be reduced to sovereign reason, but should also make room for feelings, the sensible, fantasies and other fancies that shape human experience. The stakes are high, the challenge a decisive one: they call for reflection.
