< input >
Entrusted to the journalist and critic Julien Bécourt, specialising in contemporary art, cinema and music, the <input> programme aims to help us hear the bonds that unite the visual and sound arts. The approach can be multiple: some artists use sound as a material; others as a symbolic marker allowing us to situate their works; while others use it in a more traditional way, experiencing or dreaming of a parallel career as a musician. It is this historic proximity — yet still just as contemporary — that enables us to explore how sound affects visual materials and vice-versa.
