Partitions Performances with Axelle Pinot
After initially studying theatre and dance, Axelle Pinot registered at Ensba Lyon, where she graduated in 2017, before undertaking a cycle of research there on performance. She enriched her reflection by participating in the Ateliers des horizons programme at MAGASIN des horizons in Grenoble in 2019-2020. Her work touches upon not only performance and choreography, but also the history of gendered gestures and knowledge. She plunged into learning tarot card reading, asking her mother to transmit the techniques to her, as is done from mother to daughter, generation after generation. She then put her own stamp on the rules of the game, creating installations and performances based on her own versions of tarot cards.
Invited to perform within the Partitions (Performances) programme at the Fondation Pernod Ricard, she is preparing to create a performance based on a life path—not that of an individual, but that of the Fondation itself.
