Alice Dusapin
Alice Dusapin is an editor, researcher and curator.
Co-founder of the magazine octopus notes and the publishing house Daisy, she also co-directs the project space Ampersand, founded in Lisbon with the artist Martin Laborde. She is the author of the first monograph on video and performance artist Wolfgang Stoerchle (1944-1976) and is currently preparing the first monograph on American physicist, editor, and poet Bern Porter (1911-2004), as well as a book on the history of the Andy & Karen Stillpass collection in Cincinnati.
Alice Dusapin's work has been supported by the CNAP and the Jan Michalski Foundation for Writing and Literature. Her book Wolfgang Stoerchle, Success in Failure won the Terra Foundation for American Art International Publication Grant. In January 2022, she received a research grant from the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles and was a resident at the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici (2020-2021) in art history.
She has collaborated with numerous public and private contemporary art institutions in France and abroad (Galerie Air de Paris; Galerie Overduin & Co, Los Angeles; Giselle Books, Marseille; Macro Museum, Rome; Culturgest, Lisbon & Porto; Le Crédac) and teaches the history of artist’s books at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre. In 2024, she joined the Villa Arson team as Head of Publishing.
