Cudelice Brazelton IV
Cudelice Brazelton IV was born in Dallas in 1991 and lives in Frankfurt am Main.
He completed his studies at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (Städelschule) in 2021. In 2016, he studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Madison. His work has been presented in solo exhibitions such as Cell Project Space in London and Wschód Gallery in Warsaw and he has participated in group exhibitions at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Kunstverein Freiburg, Swiss Institute and SculptureCenter in New York. Cudelice Brazelton IV teaches as a lecturer at De Ateliers in Amsterdam. The artist combines materials such as fabric, leather, acrylic or metal or cardboard to create three-dimensional works that extend the medium of painting in the classical sense into space. The use of collage and assemblage creates references to different contexts and circumstances, each with their own codes and behaviors; they come together and stand side by side in a value-free manner.
