Gabriel Abrantes is an artist and director. His films have been shown at the Directors' Fortnight and Critics' Week in Cannes, the Berlinale, the Locarno International Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival. His work has been shown at the Whitechapel Gallery and Tate Britain (London), Palais de Tokyo (Paris), MIT List Visual Arts Center (Boston), Kunst-Werke (Berlin) and Serralves Foundation (Porto). He participated in the 16th Lyon Biennial, the 32nd São Paulo Biennial, the 2016 Tropical Biennial and the 2014 Biennial of the Moving Image. He has also had retrospective screenings at Lincoln Center (New York) and BAFICI (Buenos Aires)
