Joan Ayrton
Artist
Joan Ayrton, an Anglo-Swiss artist and researcher living in Paris, approaches her work through the prism of the landscape, its historical constructions and contemporary upheavals.
The mediums she uses - mainly painting, photography and film - are part of a reflection on the image and its installation. Her work is regularly exhibited in France and abroad.
She teaches at the Villa Arson (Nice), and is currently doing a Practice led PhD at ENSAPC Paris-Cergy on the links between geology, psychedelia and environmental drifts.
Joan Ayrton is represented by the Florence Loewy gallery in Paris.
