LYL Radio

LYL is a cultural project that has elected music as its main ethic, or paradigm. We aim at suggesting a global comprehension of the world and its cultures, through the promotion and exploration of sound. The webradio has been created for this purpose, and so gathers activists, record store owners, label founders, djs, musicians, specialists, geeks, weirdos and amateurs, who all continue to expand the scope of our project with daily broadcasts produced either in our three studios, here and there in the world or in special locations.

LYL has been operating in Lyon since 2015 from Les Ateliers SUMO, and has opened a second outlet in Paris in November 2016 (now located at La Caboteuse), then Brussels in 2020 and Marseille in 2021. The native studio in Lyon is now located at Bistrot Senior, a restaurant opened by LYL's creator, in the heart of the French city, while LYL Brussels streams from La Brasserie Atlas and SOMA now welcomes our studio in Marseille. Via these studios and a good number of international contributors, LYL presents live shows (over 200 regular shows as well as guest shows and special programs), organizes various events (concerts, club nights, exhibitions, talks and more) and collaborates with different entities interested in arts and music.
