Sacha Gabilan, born in 1996 and based in Paris, works with sculpture, photography and archives. Inspired by the idea of a future archaeology, he explores the links between architecture and memory, and confronts the themes of destruction and protection. Using materials such as wax, fabric, resin and wood, and sculpting cubic, box-like forms, he explores the tension between the fragility of objects and their desire to be preserved. He has shown his work in several group exhibitions in Brussels, London and Paris. His work has been published in the magazine MAISON number 2. For the past three years, his artistic approach has been enriched by scenographic activity, and he collaborated with Marouane Bakhti on the 2023 edition of the Extra! festival at the Centre Pompidou.
