Sarah Rifky

Sarah Rifky is a writer and curator.
She is co-founder of Beirut (2012–15), an art institution in Cairo. She is the founder of the CIRCA (the Cairo International Resource Center for Art). She is co-editor of Positionen: Zeitgenössische Künstler aus der Arabischen Welt (2013) and author of The Going Insurrection (2012). Together with Walker Downey, she is co-editor of Thresholds 47, Repeat (2019).
Rifky is a Ph.D. Candidate in History, Theory, and Criticism, and the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at MIT, writing (on) Cultural Infrastructure.
