Carte blanche for Jonas Delaborde on the work of Pascal Doury

Wednesday 19 June 2024 at 7 pm

In the context of the “Crumbling the Antiseptic Beauty” exhibition, an encounter on Pascal Doury's work by artist, publisher and researcher Jonas Delaborde !

Pascal Doury appears, through a photographic series documenting his apartment, in “Crumbling the Antiseptic Beauty”, the exhibition at the Pernod Ricard Foundation curated by David Douard. Doury's presence, rare in a space dedicated to contemporary art, offers the opportunity to talk about a singular artistic journey. It came to an abrupt end with his death in 2001 at the age of 45. He left behind a complex and prolific body of work, crossing distinct fields: illustration, graphic design, contemporary poetry, collage and painting. They are linked in a production that unfolds essentially through publishing: graphzine, artist's book, poetry review.

Jonas Delaborde, artist, publisher and researcher, is the author of Elles sont de sortie, choquer le monde à mort (They're out, shocking the world to death) (to be published), about the work of Pascal Doury, alone or in association with artist Bruno Richard.
