Please find below the transmision of the encounter between Clarisse Hahn and Anne Bonnin.
Curator and art critic Anne Bonnin welcomes artist and film director Clarisse Hahn.
Guided by a series of excerpts of Clarisse Hahn’s own production and a selection of films by other artists, artist and curator will sketch an artistic rather than a biographical self-portrait.
Clarisse Hahn (1973–) is a French artist and director. Through her films, photographs and video installations over the last 20 years, she has been exploring communities, behavioural codes, and the social role of the body within these communities. Her work has been shown at the Paris Museum of Modern Art, the MAMCO in Geneva, the Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Palais de Tokyo and Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Museo de Arte Raúl Anguiano in Guadalajara, Mexico, the MCA in Sydney, the Museu do Chiado in Lisbon, and at UNESCO’s International Centre for Creativity and Sustainable Development in Beijing, among others. Her films can be seen on the contemporary art circuit as well as in the world of cinema: in international festivals, as theatrical releases or broadcast on television.
