Aperto: PU$$Y NIGHTMARE x LYL Radio

Saturday 21 September 2024 at 4 pm

“Join us on Saturday, September 21 for the PU$$Y NIGHTMARE x LYL Radio event, open to the public, imagined by OKO DJ in the tradition of the eponymous show on LYL, and curated in collaboration with Caroline Drieu for LYL Paris.”

Created especially for the aperto residence, this event will take the form of four acts:

Firstly, before the concerts and performances, OKO DJ will guide a ritual in chosen mixity between 4pm and 6pm, open to all FLINTAQ+ * people. In this safe, intimate sharing space, we'll explore meditation, creative writing, sharing experiences, and deep listening to ground and celebrate what makes us unique, our beauty and our vulnerability. All personalities welcome.
FLINTA+ refers to women, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, agender and more, or anyone who is not a cis male or who has been assigned female at birth.

The evening of concerts kicks off at 6:30 p.m., with a live performance by artist and composer Audrey Carmes, who mixes writing and musical practice, in an atmosphere of murmurs, drones and repetitive motifs.

This is followed by Zoé Couppé's performance “À la vie à la mort, A voice and nothing more”, a narrative mixing humor and seriousness, following the voice of a multi-faceted awareness.

An artist working in writing, performance, radio and video, Zoé Couppé has developed a series of personal cosmologies in which she stages characters and objects that engage in enigmatic conversations and interactions with each other.

The evening will close with a live performance by Brazilian artist Yan Higa (aka Yvu), for the first time in Paris. An emerging figure on the contemporary electronic scene in São Paulo, and founder°ice of the Acta Recording label, Yan Higa embodies the percussive nature of Brazilian music, while combining it with an introspective, melancholy and ethereal singing practice.
At the crossroads of avant-garde electronics and craft (which he practices via sculpture, scenography and art installation), Yan Higa blends languages to work towards the re/construction of an emotional ecosystem.
